Bionical Emas Secures Formal Approval of Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Emissions-Reduction Goal
Bionical Emas announces that its emissions-reduction target has been formally approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the globally recognised authority that validates whether corporate decarbonisation plans are both achievable and aligned with climate science.
This approval confirms that Bionical Emas has a robust, independently verified pathway to significantly reduce its environmental impact. Bionical Emas has committed to cut absolute scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46.2% by 2031, using a 2024 baseline, and to measure and reduce scope 3 emissions across its value chain.
This milestone reflects growing expectations from clients who increasingly rely on partners with credible, science-aligned sustainability commitments, and underscores Bionical Emas’ belief that reducing emissions is simply the right thing to do for people and the planet.
“Our SBTi approval is a powerful validation of the work already underway across Bionical Emas,” said Tom Watson, CEO of Bionical Emas. “We are committed to meaningful, measurable climate action, not just because our clients expect it, but because we believe in our responsibility to future generations. This target sets a clear direction for our business, and I’m incredibly proud of the teams who helped us reach this milestone and those who will drive our progress in the years ahead.”
Bionical Emas emphasised that achieving these reductions will require continued collaboration and innovation across all areas of its business. It also expressed gratitude to employees whose efforts have contributed to reaching this important step in its sustainability journey.
